Camp

Don't forget our camp tomorrow Friday Dec 28th, and Saturday Dec 29th. We will be starting at 8 so don't be late! Please make sure you bring a lunch, snacks and water to get you through the day. Get lots of sleep tonight so you are ready to work hard.

Canceled Parent Meeting

Hello Parents,

It seems that this year has certainly served up some bumps in our guard program. I first want to thank you all for your continued support.

I have decided to cancel the parent meeting for tonight. Below are the things we were going to discuss, and the reason as to why I am canceling the meeting.

If you did not receive a packet at auditions, I will be emailing them out by tonight. This packet includes rehearsal times and competition dates.

Also, at the bottom of this email is a list of all the blogs. Please keep track of the blog weekly for information regarding your students team. The B & Wasatch Academy blog is going through a few changes, but should be finished by tomorrow.

Ok - here are the items that were to be discussed tonight:

Payment for B Guard and Wasatch Academy

We have been working through this change for 3 weeks. As of this morning, nothing has been resolved. We are no longer able to take money at the high school for anyone who is not 9th-12th grades. So, we have been working with the junior high and the district to get this worked out. Still a work in progress. I am sorry we don't have more answers for you. Please be patient with me and I hope to have a resolution by the end of this week.

Tour for A And Open Guards

We were finally approved the day before the Thanksgiving break to go on our trip. However, the San Diego Regional was full by that time. I am looking into other options as well as trying to get more information from WGI about this regional. But, there is a waiting list right now. I have made the decision not to put our name on this waiting list. We would have to pay the $400 - which is non refundable - and most likely not get into the competition.

Again, I am looking into a few other options. But this is all the information I have at this time.

I am so appreciative of all the parents for your love and support. It has been a rough year for me. I have hit a lot of obstacles that I wasn't expecting and I am so thankful to work with the parents and staff that I do. THANK YOU!!

Audition Results

Everyone on this list will need to be at the high school at 7am on Tuesday morning (November 13). Because of some issues, we will need to audition you again. Some of you may be on the open guard, most of you on the A guard, and some will be on the B guard. Also, we still have not heard back from the district about our winter guard tour. If we are approved, we can’t accept 8^th graders on the A guard. Thank you for your patience!

Tues. Rehearsal

Good morning, and happy day off from school!

We will NOT be having rehearsal tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. So I will see you all bright and early on Wednesday.

You all did amazing on Saturday night! Make sure you watch the video and see if there are any moments when you are not with the rest of the group and spend some time on them before I see you all again. Also weapons, you ALL need to work on you quads, they are getting better, but we are still not consistently catching as strong as we could be. Take some time and work those out.

WAY TO GO!!!

The American Fork A Winter Guard did a GREAT job in their first competition in their new division. The competition in this division is tough and you stood up to the test.
